Spill the Tea: A Jane Austen Afternoon Tea Celebration at Lyman Orchards

Celebrate the timeless wit and charm of Jane Austen at Spill the Tea: A Jane Austen Afternoon Tea Celebration on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the historic Lyman Homestead in Middlefield, Connecticut. Marking the 250th birthday of the beloved author, this elegant affair invites Austen fans and tea lovers alike to experience an afternoon steeped in Regency-era sophistication.

Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated menu of quiche, tea sandwiches, and scones, paired with a selection of teas from Savvy Tea Gourmet of Madison. Classical music will fill the air as attendees gather in the stately Homestead living room to sip, savor, and share lively conversation about Austen’s unforgettable characters and stories.

There are two seatings available: 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Tickets are $38 per person and must be purchased in advance. All guests will be seated at tables of six; those wishing to be seated with friends should email npeach@lymanorchards.com after purchasing tickets. This event is expected to sell out quickly and no refunds will be issued.
