Special Talkback with Voices of Hope at Playhouse on Park

October 11 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Special Talkback with Voices of Hope at Playhouse on Park

Playhouse on Park will host a special post-performance talkback in partnership with Voices of Hope on Sunday, October 11, following the 2 pm performance of The Happiest Man on Earth. The talkback will begin at approximately 3:30 pm and will feature Voices of Hope representatives Gayle Weiner Temkin and Stu Abrams.

Temkin, the incoming president of Voices of Hope, is a longtime community leader and the daughter of Holocaust survivor Abby Weiner, who, like Eddie Jaku, was imprisoned at Auschwitz. Abrams is a Voices of Hope board member and an Avon High School teacher who has taught courses on genocide, human behavior, and human rights since 1994.

The Happiest Man on Earth tells the story of Eddie Jaku, a German-Jewish survivor of Auschwitz who dedicated his life to sharing his experiences and encouraging others to find hope and light despite the darkness of the Holocaust.

Guests can attend the 2 pm performance and stay for the talkback, or attend the talkback after the performance. Playhouse on Park is located at 244 Park Road, West Hartford, CT 06119.

Tickets for The Happiest Man on Earth range from $46 to $58.50, with group, student, and senior discounts available. For tickets and additional information, visit www.playhouseonpark.org or call the box office at 860-523-5900 ext. 10.
