Storytelling takes center stage at Speak Up: Birthdays, a special event honoring the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History’s bicentennial on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 7:00 pm. Audiences can expect a memorable evening of personal storytelling as performers share heartfelt, funny, and unforgettable tales centered around birthdays.
The lineup includes bestselling author and Moth GrandSLAM champion Matthew Dicks, alongside a talented cast of storytellers. Elysa Dicks will serve as emcee for the evening, guiding guests through an engaging night of connection and creativity. Doors open at 6:00 pm, allowing time to explore the museum’s exhibitions, including Coffee: A Connecticut Story. Light refreshments, wine, and soft drinks will be served.
Admission is $20 for general admission, $15 for Connecticut Museum members at levels under $150, and free for members at levels $150 and above. Tickets are available online or at the door.
