SOS: Treasure Island at Garde Arts Center

The Garde Arts Center in New London presents SOS: Treasure Island, an original musical performed by young participants in the Summer on Stage program and the Missoula Children’s Theatre. The production is the culmination of a week-long session of rehearsals and workshops for children ages 7 to 16.

Set in 1782 in a seaside village in Maine, the story follows mischievous Jim Hawkins as he finds a mysterious treasure map and is swept into a high-seas adventure under the watchful eye of the legendary pirate Long John Silver. Alongside a crew of humorous pirates and his loyal friends, Jim sets sail in search of treasure and discovers more than gold along the way. Featuring colorful characters, music, and spirited performances, this family-friendly show brings a classic tale to life with a fresh twist.

Performances take place on Friday, August 1 at 7 pm and Saturday, August 2 at 11 am. Tickets are $10 plus fees.
