Skygazing on Talcott Mountain
March 22, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us at Talcott Mountain Academy (TMSC) for an out-of-this-world evening skygazing from the top of Talcott Mountain! Begin the evening under the 44 ft. dome in the Captain Alan M. Bean Planetarium, where we’ll learn about the night sky and The spring Equinox; what does the first day of spring mean for what’s happening among the stars?
Afterwards, we’ll be heading outdoors for celestial viewing atop Talcott Mountain! The skies will be at their darkest, making it the perfect night to view the wonders of the heavens. With a wide array of telescopes at our disposal, we’ll be looking for stars and constellations including Ursa Major, Gemini and other celestial gems!
Tickets: $8 General Admission/$5 TMSC Members
Raindate: March 23rd
Because seating is limited and events fill up quickly, we recommend making your reservations early!
PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME! Late arrivals will not be allowed to enter the planetarium after the presentation begins at 6:15pm; they will, however, be able to participate in outdoor viewing with the group when the Planetarium program concludes.
