Sketching in the Galleries at Yale University Art Gallery

Guests of all ages and experience levels are invited to take part in a guided sketching session at the Yale University Art Gallery in New Haven on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. This engaging program revives the historic practice of drawing in the galleries, a tradition that began in 1867 when Street Hall first opened as the country’s inaugural collegiate school of art.

Participants will have the opportunity to sketch from original works of art in a relaxed, educational setting. All materials will be provided, and no prior drawing experience is necessary.
