Short Attention Span Literary Club at Connecticut Museum of Culture and History

July 1 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Short Attention Span Literary Club at Connecticut Museum of Culture and History

Readers looking for engaging literary discussions can connect online with the Short Attention Span Literary Club on July 1, 2026.

Held monthly by the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History, this casual book club focuses on short stories, making it easy for participants to join the conversation without a long-term commitment. Each month features a different selection, offering readers an opportunity to explore new authors and perspectives in a welcoming setting.

The July discussion will center on “Girl and Giraffe” by acclaimed author Lydia Millet. Participants are encouraged to read the story in advance and then join fellow readers for an informal conversation about its themes, characters, and ideas.

The club meets online via Zoom from 1 pm to 2 pm on July 1, 2026. Participation is free, though advance registration is required to receive the Zoom link. Donations are welcomed to help support the museum’s public programming.

Questions about the program may be directed to Natalie Belanger, Public Programs Manager, at nbelanger@connecticutmuseum.org.
