Shaun Boothe and the Unauthorized Biography Series at The Bushnell

A dynamic educational performance blending music, storytelling, and history comes to The Bushnell on Thursday, March 26, 2026, with performances at 10 am and 12 pm at 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106. The program runs approximately 55 minutes with no intermission and is recommended for students in grades 4 through 9.

Created and performed by Shaun Boothe, The Unauthorized Biography Series combines biographical hip-hop songs with documentary-style music videos to tell the stories of influential cultural icons. Through engaging lyrics and multimedia presentation, the performance highlights figures such as Serena Williams, Malala Yousafzai, and Muhammad Ali while encouraging young audiences to reflect on their own potential and the power of perseverance.

Part of the 2025–2026 Bushnell Children’s Theatre Series, the program is designed to be both entertaining and inspiring, connecting music, history, and social themes in an accessible way for students and families. A 10-minute question-and-answer session will follow each performance.
