Shanties & Sails: Rick Spencer and Dawn Indermuehle at Connecticut River Museum

Shanties & Sails returns to the Connecticut River Museum on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 5:30 pm with a free live performance by Rick Spencer and Dawn Indermuehle. This lively music series invites guests to experience the rich maritime tradition of sea shanties performed by talented musicians.

Rick Spencer and Dawn Indermuehle are known for their historically themed performances that explore American culture through song. Their set features music from the Colonial era to the present, performed with careful attention to historical authenticity. With songs that bring to life fascinating periods of American history, their performance is both educational and entertaining.

Guests can enhance the evening by booking a cruise on the Onrust, a historically accurate re-creation of the 1614 Dutch vessel built by explorer Adriaen Block. The Onrust offers a unique opportunity to explore Connecticut’s maritime heritage.
