Sensory Friendly Tuesday Afternoons at Shore Line Trolley Museum

The Shore Line Trolley Museum in East Haven will offer Sensory Friendly Tuesday Afternoons from July 1 through August 26, providing a welcoming experience for children and families who may find typical museum visits overwhelming. These special sessions run weekly on Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with trolley rides available at 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.

Designed for guests who benefit from quieter settings, the program features reduced crowds, reserved ticketing, and a calm environment throughout the Visitor Center and trolley ride. Families are encouraged to explore a narrative walk-through on the museum’s website beforehand, offering a preview of the experience to help reduce anxiety and prepare for the visit.
