Sensory Friendly Day at the Connecticut Science Center

The Connecticut Science Center invites guests to experience a welcoming and inclusive environment during Sensory Friendly Day on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm. This special day is designed for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences, offering thoughtful accommodations to ensure a calm and engaging visit.

During this event, lights are dimmed, volume levels are lowered, and extra sounds and motion are minimized throughout the facility. Clear signage highlights potential sensory triggers, and each paid General Admission includes a complimentary 1:1 aide to help create a more comfortable experience.

Visitors can explore the Science Center’s hands-on exhibits and interactive displays in an atmosphere that supports sensory needs while making meaningful and lasting memories.
