Second Saturdays for Families: Caretaker Celebrations at Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art
August 9 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 12:00 pm on day Second of the month, repeating until December 31, 2025

Families are invited to celebrate the important people in their lives during Second Saturdays for Families: Caretaker Celebrations at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art. This interactive program includes creative opportunities to explore how families are depicted in art, make a handmade thank-you gift with artist Jacqueline Bright, and hear author Kelly L. Viera read from her book Life and Color, which follows Chloe the Chameleon on a humorous journey of self-discovery.
Educators from the Connecticut Science Center will also lead a workshop exploring family traits, adding a science twist to the afternoon of creativity and storytelling.
This free program takes place on Saturday, May 10, beginning at 12:00 pm at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, located at 600 Main Street, Hartford, Connecticut. For more information, visit thewadsworth.org or call (860) 278-2670.
