Science Adventure Trail at Trumbull Nature & Arts Center

On November 16, 2024, families are invited to the Science Adventure Trail at the Trumbull Nature & Arts Center, where kids and parents alike can explore science through hands-on experiments and activities in the beautiful outdoors. This self-guided experience lets participants journey through the center’s meadow, pond, stream, and forest, learning about animal habitats, alternative energy, natural phenomena, and more.

Using a specially designed map and guidebook, families will navigate easy-to-walk trails while conducting experiments with a science toolkit provided at the Trail Station. At the end of the journey, each participant’s guidebook will be stamped with a Certified Adventure Trail Scientist seal to commemorate the experience. The program is perfect for families with children ages 6 and up.

Admission is $25 per group (up to five people), and each registration includes a toolkit to borrow, along with experiment tools and a map to guide your adventure. Additional supplies will be available for purchase at the Trail Station. Start times are available at 10 am, 11 am, and 12 pm, and advance registration is recommended.
