River Tales: The Rhythm of the Rain at Connecticut River Museum

Families can dive into nature-themed fun at River Tales: The Rhythm of the Rain, happening Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Connecticut River Museum in Essex. Designed for children ages 4 and up and their caregivers, this engaging program features a storytime and take-home craft activity inspired by the wonders of the water cycle.

This month’s featured book is The Rhythm of the Rain by Grahame Baker-Smith, a beautifully illustrated story that follows a drop of water from a mountaintop stream to the vast ocean, highlighting the majesty and movement of water around the planet.

Crafts will be held in the museum’s Boathouse, offering young visitors a hands-on way to connect with the natural world and the rich history of the Connecticut River. The program is included with museum admission.
