River Tales: Bat Loves the Night at Connecticut River Museum

Families can enjoy a special River Tales program at the Connecticut River Museum featuring take-home craft activities in the Boathouse. Designed for children ages 4 and up with their caregivers, the program includes a story and craft activity inspired by the natural world.

This October edition highlights Nicola Davies’ Bat Loves the Night, a beautifully illustrated story that follows a bat as she hunts for food, using echoes to navigate the nighttime sky. Kids will explore the fascinating behavior of bats while creating themed crafts that connect to the story.
