Resident & Migratory Bird Walk at Shore Line Trolley Museum

A guided birding walk takes place on May 4, 2026 from 8 am to 11 am at the Shore Line Trolley Museum, 17 River Street, East Haven, CT 06512.

Hosted by the Friends of Farm River Estuary in partnership with the New Haven Bird Club, this outdoor excursion explores the diverse habitats surrounding the museum grounds. Participants can expect to observe a variety of bird species, including resident and migratory salt marsh birds, raptors, and woodland birds during peak migration season.

The walk follows the trolley tracks through several productive ecosystems, offering a unique vantage point for birdwatching. At the conclusion of the walk, a trolley ride will return participants to the starting location.

Admission is free. Participants should meet in the rear parking lot of the museum.
