Renaissance – Revive the Arts (Silver City Ballroom)

“Renaissance” will be a monthly event hosted by artists, for artists, in a venue that is like no other in Connecticut. Silver City Ballroom is an architectural masterpiece with an unbelievable lighting system that will showcase art in unimaginable ways. Renaissance will open your mind to future possibilities. A sophisticated and elegant evening filled with drinks, music, fashion, singing, dancing, and live art that will grow each month to become CT’s most unique and exciting monthly event. A place for artists to THINK BIG, TAKE CHARGE, and COLLABORATE! The possibilities are endless!
With a $20 admission, artists will get the chance to be awarded funding for a visual art project within the newly created ”Meriden Arts District”. Awards are granted at each Renaissance event, including monthly exposure for your art at participating businesses, and be a featured artist at the next Renaissance event. This is a chance to meet other artists, get funding, get exposure and sell art.
Renaissance is a grassroots collaboration between “ShowLab Events” and “All Sketched Out”
A short 5 minute presentation will start at 8pm.

Why Meriden? It’s a blank canvas at the crossroads of Connecticut, halfway between New Haven and Hartford, and easily accessible by highway or the new CT Rail. The art community has an opportunity to create a new identity and be at the forefront of this up and coming city through murals, sculptures, and displays. With many opportunities to showcase talent, Meriden has the potential for many unique, artistic businesses like restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, music shops, galleries, clothing boutiques, etc.
