Reflections in Focus at Mattatuck Museum

The Mattatuck Museum presents Reflections in Focus, a four-part mindfulness and gallery-observation series inviting participants to engage with Ming Smith’s photography through intentional attention and reflection. The session takes place Thursday, October 15, from 11 am to 12:30 pm.

Each session combines an accessible mindfulness practice with close observation of selected photographs, reflective writing, and a simple exercise participants can carry into daily life. Themes across the series include pausing to notice what becomes visible, exploring how people move through the world, considering what it means to see and be seen with care, and reflecting on how experiences resonate in the body.

Participants can attend individual sessions; attendance at all four is not required.

The program takes place at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, Connecticut.
