Reclaim the Flag (2025) at Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts

Film and public dialogue come together in this special screening and conversation examining the American flag as a cultural symbol of shared meaning. Reclaim the Flag (2025) explores how national symbols evolve over time, with particular focus on unity and representation within the LGBTQ+ community. Through interviews with artists, activists, and cultural thinkers, the documentary considers how storytelling and open discussion can help reframe and reclaim collective identity. The evening includes a screening of the film followed by a moderated panel discussion featuring filmmaker Alexis Bittar, Fairfield University professor Luchina Fisher, Yale University professor Shane Vogel, and moderator Sean Edgecomb of Fairfield University.
