Ramblin’ Dan & The Freewheelin’ Band at Westport Country Playhouse

Families can look forward to a lively, all-ages musical experience when Ramblin’ Dan & The Freewheelin’ Band take the stage at the Westport Country Playhouse at 4:00 pm on August 2, 2025. Known as one of New York City’s favorite early childhood performers, Ramblin’ Dan blends infectious energy with a rich musical repertoire that entertains both children and adults.

This special performance serves as the album release party for “Freeride: Nursery Rhymes Redefined,” a 30-song genre-spanning collection that reimagines classic nursery rhymes with the help of special guests including John Popper of Blues Traveler, Scott Metzger of JRAD, and Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman of the Trey Anastasio Band. The new album brings a mix of rock, reggae, gospel, folk, hip hop, jazz, and more—designed to get the whole family moving and singing.

The show promises an interactive and visually engaging concert, complete with a five-piece band, vibrant costumes, and oversized props. Children can expect to dance, jump, sing, and use their imaginations as they travel through a musical journey that includes becoming animals, exploring the world, and even blasting off into space.
