Quantum Day at the Connecticut Science Center

Quantum science takes center stage on April 14 at the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford. From 11 am to 3 pm, visitors can dive into the mysteries of quantum mechanics with interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and real-world demonstrations that explore how quantum technology is shaping the future.
As part of the statewide World Quantum Day celebration, this one-day event invites guests to step into The Quantum Revolution: Made in New Haven, a science and art exhibition curated by the Yale Quantum Institute. Learn about innovations like Badger, the first superconducting two-qubit processor, and see original artwork by YQI Artist-in-Residence Martha W. Lewis.
Featured activities include decoding glowing gases using spectroscopy, testing space shielding in Operation: Block Radiation, and playing quantum chess in the Quantum Chess Lab. Visitors will also meet scientists and innovators from QuantumCT working to bring quantum advancements into everyday applications.
