Annual Plainville Fire Company’s Hot Air Balloon Festival
August 25 - August 26
The Annual Plainville Fire Company Hot Air Balloon Festival will be held August 25th, 2023 and August 26, 2023 at Norton Park in Plainville, Connecticut. Each year the attendance of Balloonist has increased. There is no entrance fee. The entire event is free. There will be arts, crafts and food vendors throughout the weekend.
This is a free event and open to the public.
Note: NO DRONES! They are extremely dangerous to balloons!
Entertainment will be provided on both Friday and Saturday. A car show will be held during the day on Saturday, August 26, 2023. This year there will be a balloon launch at 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023, with the craft show and vendors open from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm. Food concessions are operated by the Plainville Fire Company and friends.

There is no raindate.
The Plainville Fire Co. does not provide or arrange for balloon rides. Some balloonists will offer tethered rides on Friday night for a nominal fee. Flights can be obtained by prior arrangement through the individual balloon companies. Balloon companies can be found at www.lighterthanair.org
Pets are highly discouraged. This is a high energy, crowded event which can be loud at times, and may cause many pets to become agitated and upset.
There is ample handicapped parking. This year the only people allowed to park at Norton Park will be identified handicapped, motorcycles and staff.

Fireworks: The fireworks show begins at approximately 9:30pm on Friday night. Should the weather be inclement, the fireworks show will be postponed to Saturday. Several hot air balloons will provide a balloon glow.
