Picturing Barbados: Kendall Francis at Yale Center for British Art

The Yale Center for British Art in New Haven will present Picturing Barbados with Kendall Francis on Wednesday, June 25, at 3 pm. Held in the Study Room, this talk is part of a series hosted by the YCBA Conservation department, spotlighting selected works from the collection through the lens of conservation, technique, and interpretation.

Kendall Francis will examine artworks related to Barbados, discussing how they were created, their historical context, and the conservation efforts used to preserve them. The presentation will also explore how materials and techniques contribute to the meaning and message of the pieces, as well as the technical analysis involved in their study.
