Performance | American Contemporary Dances at Webb Deane Stevens Museum

A unique dance performance experience takes place May 8–9, 2026 at the Webb Deane Stevens Museum, 211 Main Street, Wethersfield, CT 06109.

Presented in the museum’s historic barn, Performance | American Contemporary Dances features new and established works by the Hartford Dance Collective. The program is performed in-the-round, creating an intimate setting where audiences are surrounded by movement and storytelling.

Inspired by the 250th anniversary of the United States, the performance explores themes of female empowerment, resilience, and self-expression, amplifying women’s voices through contemporary dance. The setting brings together past and present, offering a powerful artistic dialogue within a historic space.

The Friday, May 8 performance begins at 7:30 pm, with VIP ticketholders invited to a pre-performance talkback at 6 pm. Doors open at 6:45 pm, with a cash bar available. The Saturday, May 9 performance begins at 2 pm, with a VIP talkback at 12:30 pm and doors opening at 1:15 pm.

Tickets range from $18 to $45, with discounted pricing for students and members. VIP tickets include premiere seating, early admission, a pre-performance talkback, reserved parking, and access to an open rehearsal.
