Party for the Planet Earth Day Celebration at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo

A day of environmental awareness and family-friendly activities takes place on April 25, 2026 from 9 am to 3 pm at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo, 1875 Noble Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06610.

Held in celebration of Earth Day, Party for the Planet brings together wildlife education, conservation efforts, and interactive experiences for all ages. The event features a variety of hands-on activities and community partnerships designed to inspire sustainable living and environmental stewardship.

Highlights include a Beardsley Park community cleanup from 9 am to 12 pm, a DIY seed ball station where visitors can create pollinator-friendly plant starters, and the Energy in Action mobile exhibit with interactive demonstrations focused on renewable energy and efficiency. Guests can also explore conservation exhibits presented by the Wolf Conservation Center and participate in a collaborative art project with One River School of Art & Design using recycled materials.

Additional activities include interactive experiences from Tesla and educational booths hosted by conservation sponsors AVANGRID and Greater Bridgeport Transit. The event offers a blend of learning and entertainment, encouraging visitors to take small but meaningful steps toward protecting the planet.

All activities are included with regular zoo admission.
