Origin: Dominion Energy Schooltime Performance Series at Garde Arts Center

The Dominion Energy Schooltime Performance Series presents Origin, a 2023 American biographical drama written and directed by Ava DuVernay. Based on the life of Isabel Wilkerson, the film follows her journey across Germany, India, and the United States as she researches caste systems for her book Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents.

Recommended for students in grades 8-12, this thought-provoking film ties into curriculum connections including literature, relationships and family, and social studies.

Tickets are $17 per person. Groups of 15 or more receive a discounted rate of $15 per person, plus one free chaperone ticket for every 15 paid. Additional chaperone tickets are $15.

The Garde Arts Center offers wheelchair-accessible seating and bathrooms, as well as wireless listening systems by reservation. Wheelchair seating is available in the orchestra section only.
