Ordinary’s Spirits of Christmas Past at Ordinary

Ordinary, New Haven’s oldest tavern, will host “Ordinary’s Spirits of Christmas Past” from November 5 to December 31, 2024. This festive activation will feature a unique homage to Scrooge, blending spooky elements like skeletons and ghosts with holiday lights, trees, and cheerful decorations. The celebration promises a specially curated pop-up food and beverage menu.

Guests can enjoy holiday cocktails such as the Old Man Winter Fashioned, Festivus Sazerac, and Krampus in Manhattan, alongside symphonic sours and bubbly options. The candy bar menu includes drinks like Brandied Nog and Stocking Stuffer. The food menu features seasonal delights like Garlic Butter Candles, Thanksgiving Sandwich, Roast Pork Sandwich, and Banana Bread Skulls.

Ordinary is also embracing the spirit of giving. In November, a portion of proceeds from the “Tinsel Kittens & Stocking Puppies” cocktail will benefit Woodbridge Animal Control, with food and toy donations accepted for the shelter. December’s featured cocktail will support Yale Children’s Hospital, and toy donations will be collected from December 5-22.
