Open Fridays with Prints, Drawings, and Photographs at Yale University Art Gallery

An informal, behind-the-scenes art experience takes place on May 29, 2026 from 3 pm to 4 pm at the Yale University Art Gallery, 1111 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06510.

Held in the James E. Duffy Study Room, this special open session offers visitors a rare opportunity to view works on paper from the museum’s extensive collections up close. Typically reserved for university classes and researchers, the space opens to the public for this monthly program, providing a more intimate look at prints, drawings, and photographs.

Curatorial staff will guide the experience, sharing insights and answering questions while presenting small groupings of related works. The relaxed, open-house format allows guests to explore at their own pace and engage directly with the artwork and experts.
