Niantic River Appreciation Day at the Three Bellies Marina in Niantic

The 2019 Niantic River Appreciation Day, also known as the Kayak Regatta, will be held Saturday August 17th from 10 am to 2 pm at the Three Bellies Marina.
Raindate: August 18th
Agenda:
9am or earlier, launch from Three Belles Marina (give them a call and reserve a kayak at a discount! Just mention it’s for STR-STH’s Kayak Regatta!), Mago Point or Cini Park. 10am meet the Goshen Fire Boat at Sandy Point in the Niantic River and join the Kayak Parade in front of the Oswegatchie Hills! Come hear from our local politicians and join in short kayak races for t-shirts and braggin’ rights!!
10:15am to Noonish – Jessica Mancuso’s music under the tent at 47 Oswegatchie Road!! Listen while munchin’
FREE Hot Dogs from The Dock Restaurant and FREE Clam Chowder from Flanders Fish Restaurant!! Demos of SUP and peddle kayaks from a floating dock at 47 Oswegatchie Road (Point Comfort in the water) by Three Belles Marina!!! Come and bring your family & friends! Pack some cash for membership dues (if you want a chance at that free kayak!) and event t-shirts.
Noonish – get updates on the legal status of Oswegatchie Hills and our #SmartSolar & Education programs. We might have a Senator or Congressman show up – we’re on their radar! We never know which ones will arrive and talk with us! And most of our local representatives will be there as well…
1:00pm – Short Kayak races for t-shirts and braggin’ rights!
At 1:45pm a kayak will be given away to a participating member of STR-STH!! (Make sure to check your membership status at the table at 47 Oswegatchie Road before 1:45 and/or JOIN & get a ticket that day.) What more could you want from a day on the River?!!!
