New Haven World Tai Chi Day (New Haven Green)

Yale-China Association in partnership with Aiping Tai Chi Center in Orange, CT and the City of New Haven’s Department of Arts, Culture, and Tourism, is proud to host World Tai Chi Day in New Haven on Saturday, April 27, 2019. Join us in celebration by participating in demonstrations and workshops led by local tai chi instructors on the New Haven Green.
World Tai Chi Day was established in 1999 as a free public event to bring people across racial, economic, religious, and geo-political boundaries together to promote health and well-being through tai chi and qigong. It is celebrated in 80 nations at 10am on the last Saturday of April, beginning in Samoa and ending in Hawaii.
