Helen Mirren reprises her Olivier and Tony Award-winning performance as Queen Elizabeth II in Peter Morgan’s celebrated play, directed by Stephen Daldry. The production imagines the monarch’s private weekly meetings with each of her 12 prime ministers, from Winston Churchill to David Cameron, revealing the personal and political conversations that unfolded behind palace doors. The play inspired Peter Morgan’s acclaimed Netflix series, The Crown, and was originally captured live from London’s West End in 2013 as one of National Theatre Live’s most-watched productions.
