Narrative Storytelling Through Photography Workshop at Mattatuck Museum

Develop your visual storytelling skills during the Narrative Storytelling Through Photography Workshop at the Mattatuck Museum on Sundays, September 13 and 20, 2026, from 1 to 4 pm.
Led by teaching artist Peter Glass, this two-session workshop explores how photographs can be used to create compelling narratives. Inspired by the atmospheric work of photographer Ming Smith, participants will learn composition techniques, camera skills, and methods for planning a sequence of images to create a visual photo essay. The workshop is open to photographers using either a traditional 35mm camera or a smartphone.
Participants should bring their own camera or photography device, as equipment is not provided.
Registration is $10 for museum members and $15 for non-members.
The Mattatuck Museum is located at 144 West Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06702. For registration and additional information, visit https://www.mattmuseum.org/series/narrative-storytelling-through-photography-workshop/.
