Join us for an evening of thrills, haunts, and mad science gone awry with Mystic Seaport’s Nautical Nightmares: A Creature Among Us, inspired by Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein.” In this frightening theatrical, you’ll meet a mad scientist, his haunted creation, and a troupe of terrified town folk, with four spine-chilling scenes of murder, mayhem, science, and suspense!
Each performance of Nautical Nightmares is an approximately one hour tour that covers half a mile of uneven terrain including cobblestone, wood planking, grass, gravel, and stairs. Audience members walk or stand for the majority of the show. Because performances occur in all weather conditions, we strongly recommend the use of seasonal outerwear and appropriate shoes.
Performances of Nautical Nightmares require a special ticket in lieu of general admission. Elements of the show can be frightening and are not recommended for children younger than 12 years of age, or the faint of heart. Advance registration is required. Tour size is limited to 18 tickets.
Tours will be hosted from 6-10 p.m. and leave every 15 minutes.
