Music at the Mansion – Middletown Symphonic Band at the Wadsworth Mansion

Music at the Mansion – The Middletown Symphonic Band will be held on July 31st from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate in Middletown.

Bring a picnic or enjoy food from one our our participating food trucks who are joining us for our music series. Enjoy authentic wood fired pizza from Frank’s Wood Fired Pizza truck, delicious kabobs from Shishkabobalicious, and for a sweet treat Vicchittos Italian Ice.

Please note that the Mansion is closed during the concerts. There are port-o-potty’s located on the west side of the lawn by the garage and at the rear of the overflow parking lot. There is a 10 minute intermission and the Mansion grounds close 30 minutes after the conclusion of the concert.

Closing out our concert series this year is the Middletown Symphonic Band celebrating its 40th anniversary! The Middletown Symphonic Band has been providing Connecticut residents and visitors with an excellent variety of music since 1979. Committed to the preservation of live concert band music, the band was established to give both professional and amateur musicians an opportunity to practice and perform together.

The band has an extensive repertoire: classical and semi-classical pieces, Broadway, jazz, marches, holiday favorites and traditional concert band music. They perform at summer park concerts, town fairs, celebrations, and other festive occasions. The annual winter holiday and Labor Day concerts are perennial favorites with their loyal Middletown audience. They also conduct several educational programs for area schools each year.
