Museum Tours and Trolley Rides at Shore Line Trolley Museum

Visitors can step back in time with a ride on authentic antique trolley cars during Museum Tours and Trolley Rides at the Shore Line Trolley Museum in East Haven. On select days this summer, beginning at 11 am, the experience offers a unique glimpse into early suburban transportation history, with trolley rides departing every hour until 3 pm.

Guests can ride a selection of historic trolleys, including a 1904 Brooklyn Rapid Transit car and a 1923 New Orleans Public Transit trolley, each offering a different view of American transit heritage. The museum, which operates on the oldest suburban street railway in the country, also features restored cars, guided tours, and opportunities to see ongoing restoration work led by dedicated volunteers.

Admission includes unlimited trolley rides for the day. Tickets are $13 for adults, $12 for seniors ages 62 and over, and $10 for children. Children under 2 ride for free. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. Special event pricing may apply on select days.
