Music Theatre of Connecticut’s MainStage presents Moon Over Buffalo, a fast-paced, madcap comedy by Ken Ludwig running from February 7 to 23, 2025. This uproarious farce follows George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the 1950s, as they perform Private Lives and Cyrano de Bergerac in Buffalo, New York. When they learn Hollywood director Frank Capra might attend a matinee with a potential movie role on the line, everything descends into chaos.
Mistaken identities, romantic entanglements, and theatrical disasters create an evening of non-stop laughs as George’s infidelity, their daughter’s clueless fiancé, and Charlotte’s sharp-witted, hard-of-hearing mother add to the pandemonium. In the spirit of Ludwig’s Lend Me a Tenor, this classic comedy celebrates the unpredictable nature of theater and the enduring power of love and laughter.
Performances take place at Music Theatre of Connecticut, 509 Westport Ave, Norwalk, CT 06851, with showtimes on Fridays at 8 pm, Saturdays at 2 pm and 8 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm.
