Merry Mitten Day with Earth Animal on December 7th

Earth Animal in Westport is hosting the first annual Merry Mitten Day on December 7th from 10 am to 4 pm

Come participate in this winter wonderland fun-raiser where you can decorate gingerbread houses, make ornaments for your pet, get portraits done of the special animal in your life, take a selfie with Santa, listen to the Connecticut Yuletide Carolers from 12-2PM and so much more.

• Warm yourself with hot cocoa by our fire pit
• Listen to carols by the CT Yuletide Carolers
• Make ornaments with your animal’s name on it
• And Much More!

We’ll even have wreathes available for purchase with 100% of the proceeds going to the Mitten Project that benefits the CT Food Bank. A portion of all sales will be going to the CT Food Bank and Earth Animal will match every penny donated.

About The Mitten Project…

In Connecticut, more than 3,300 children are affected by hunger and food insecurity. CT Food Bank aims to achieve a way for children and their families to have nutritious, healthy food options during the weekend when not able to have food supplied by the school. The support is offered on Fridays at over 22 school locations state-wide.

The Mitten Project is a fundraiser run by Earth Animal for the past 12 years. The project is to benefit the CT Food Bank and offer a chance for our earth animals to give the gift of peace for children and their families.

You can participate by donating $5 and purchasing a “mitten”. The mitten will go towards making sure a child and their family will have food for the weekend. And just like last year, Earth Animal will be matching every dollar donated with every single penny going back to the CT Food Bank.

So, please keep an eye out for our Mitten Project boxes in local, participating retail stores. And take a moment to give the gift of peace of mind to a child this holiday season.
