Meredith Willson’s The Music Man at Palace Theater

The classic Broadway musical The Music Man comes to the Palace Theater for performances on June 2, 3, and 4, 2026 at 7:30 pm. Each performance runs approximately 7:30 pm to 10:15 pm and includes an intermission.

Winner of six Tony Awards, Meredith Willson’s beloved musical comedy follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he arrives in River City, Iowa, convincing residents to purchase instruments and uniforms for a boys’ marching band he promises to organize — despite having no actual musical expertise.

As Harold plans to leave town with the money, his scheme begins to unravel when he falls for Marian, the town librarian, whose influence changes both his future and the community around him.

Filled with memorable songs including “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Trouble,” “‘Til There Was You,” “Pickalittle,” and “Gary, Indiana,” the production remains a timeless, family-friendly favorite celebrated for its humor, heart, and classic Broadway charm.
