Memories at the MATT at Mattatuck Museum

A welcoming and supportive experience for individuals living with early-stage dementia and their care partners will be offered during Memories at the MATT on July 30, 2026, from 11:30 am to 1 pm at the Mattatuck Museum. This free program combines art, conversation, and community in an inclusive environment designed to encourage meaningful engagement and connection.

Participants will enjoy a guided tour through the museum galleries, exploring artwork and exhibitions through discussion and shared experiences. The program also includes a hands-on art activity that encourages creativity and self-expression, regardless of artistic experience.

Following the gallery experience and art-making session, attendees are invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch together, providing an opportunity for social interaction and support among participants and care partners.

Admission is free. Memories at the MATT is sponsored by the Connecticut Community Foundation.
