Melvin Seals & JGB will bring their soulful, high-energy jam band sound to Infinity Music Hall in Hartford on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Doors open at 7 pm, and the show begins at 8 pm.

For more than 30 years, Melvin Seals has been a powerful force in the music world, known for his expressive, high-spirited style on the Hammond B-3 organ and keyboards. Best recognized for his 18-year run with the Jerry Garcia Band, Seals helped shape and define what is now known as “jam band music.” His dynamic performances blend blues, funk, rock, jazz, R&B, and gospel into a rich, soulful mix that captivates audiences.

Performing alongside Seals are John Kadlecik on electric guitar and vocals, John-Paul McLean on bass, and Jeremy Hoenig on drums. Together, they create spontaneous and electrifying performances that shift and evolve each night, offering a psychedelic and soulful journey that keeps audiences dancing, smiling, and amazed.

Melvin’s legendary style and musical mastery earned him the nickname “Master of the Universe” from Jerry Garcia, and his shows continue to bring joy and energy to music lovers everywhere.
