Mary Chapin Carpenter and Brandy Clark at Ridgefield Playhouse

Two acclaimed singer-songwriters, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Brandy Clark, will share the stage at the Ridgefield Playhouse on August 12, 2025, for a memorable evening of powerful music and storytelling beginning at 7:00 pm.

Mary Chapin Carpenter, with more than 16 million albums sold, is celebrated for her timeless hits such as “Passionate Kisses” and “He Thinks He’ll Keep Her.” Her decorated career includes five Grammy Awards, two CMA Awards, and two ACM Awards. She is also one of just 15 female members of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Most recently, Carpenter earned a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album for One Night Lonely and received the prestigious Poet’s Award at the ACM Honors.

Brandy Clark, a Grammy, CMA, and Americana Award winner, joins Carpenter with her own celebrated artistry. Known for her emotionally rich songwriting, Clark won Best Americana Performance at the 2023 Grammys and earned Song of the Year at the 2024 Americana Honors for her track “Dear Insecurity,” featuring Brandi Carlile. Her 2023 self-titled album, produced by Carlile, has been lauded by Forbes as an “Americana Masterpiece” and praised by Billboard for her dual talents as both songwriter and performer.
