Marine Life Encounter Cruise at The Maritime Aquarium
An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until August 31, 2025

Gain a first-hand look at the rich marine biodiversity of Long Island Sound during a Marine Life Encounter Cruise with The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk. This engaging 2.5-hour adventure invites guests to explore the Sound’s interdependent marine life from the water’s surface all the way to the sea floor.
Participants will experience hands-on sampling techniques, such as a plankton tow, that may reveal a fascinating variety of fish, crabs, mollusks, and other creatures right before their eyes. It’s an educational and memorable way to discover the local marine environment while cruising aboard the Aquarium’s research vessel, the R/V Spirit of the Sound.
Passengers must be over 42 inches tall and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is $49.95 per person for adults and children ages 3–12.
Cruises are available throughout the summer and early fall on select dates, including:
