Make Time!: Put on Your Artist Hat at Yale Center for British Art

Families are invited to a free drop-in art-making workshop, Make Time!: Put on Your Artist Hat, at the Yale Center for British Art on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. This engaging hands-on program welcomes children of all ages and abilities to explore creativity through art and fashion.

Participants will learn about the history of hats and craft their own unique “artist’s hat.” Inspired by works on view in the museum, children can also experiment with drawing and painting ocean waves, following techniques used by artists from the past.

This event is part of the Center’s Make Time! series, which offers interactive, educator-led activities designed to spark imagination and connection through art. All materials are provided free of charge, and no registration is required.
