Make Music Old Lyme 2019 on Lyme Street
June 21 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Make Music Old Lyme will be held on June 21st from 4 pm to 7 pm on Lyme Street in Old Lyme. What better way to enjoy the summer solstice than a stroll down Lyme Street listening to free live music? We’re back for our second Make Music Day in conjunction with the Southeastern CT Cultural Coalition.
Beginning at 4pm, Sunny Train entertains the littlest of music lovers at LYSB. Then from 5-7pm the Arts District presents its stroll from the Congregational Church to Nightingale’s Café. As you meander along the sidewalk you’ll be introduced to great musicians playing everything from classical guitar to jazz to acoustic rock.
You’ll find String of Pearls on the Center School lawn where there will be space to sit down with your blanket and picnic; a participatory Pickin’ Party (bring your string instrument to join in!), a teen open mic event at the Congregational Church, children’s crafts on the Library lawn, and an impromptu ukulele parade! Final line up of musicians will be available at OldLymeArtsDistrict.com. We hope you join us and have a fantastic kickoff to summer!
