Lunch and Learn: The Chilling Chronicles of Ice Cream at Mattatuck Museum

The Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury will host Lunch and Learn: The Chilling Chronicles of Ice Cream on Wednesday, July 2, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. This monthly lunchtime series invites guests to enjoy engaging discussions while exploring local history and culture.

In this session, historian John Cilio will share the rich history of ice cream, highlighting its significance in Connecticut and the local stories that have shaped the state’s ice cream tradition. From nostalgic favorites to hidden gems, the talk will uncover a list of must-visit ice cream spots across the region.

Guests are welcome to bring their own lunch or pre-order from Sweet Bella at The MATT. To cap off the afternoon, participants can create and enjoy an ice cream sundae, generously sponsored by The Big Dipper Ice Cream Parlour in Prospect.
