Lunarfest 2025 – Year of the Snake in New Haven

Celebrate the Year of the Snake at Lunarfest 2025, the largest Lunar New Year celebration in Connecticut and one of New Haven’s premier cultural events. Hosted by the Yale-China Association, this annual tradition offers a vibrant day filled with performances, cultural activities, and family-friendly entertainment.
The festivities begin at 10 am with a lively parade down Whitney Avenue between Grove and Trumbull Streets, featuring a traditional lion dance, Chinese dance performances, martial arts demonstrations, and speeches from local community leaders.
Following the parade, attendees can enjoy a variety of cultural events and activities that are free and open to the public. A complete schedule of events is available on the Lunarfest website.
Lunarfest will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10 am to 4:30 pm. The parade will be held on Whitney Avenue, while additional events will take place at various locations throughout New Haven.
