Live Music at Mystic Seaport Museum

Join us this weekend for Live Music at the Performance Stage during our Harvest of the Sea Weekend! On Sunday, October 18, 2020 we will be joined by Marc Bernier!

Marc is a professional chef, musician and sailor. He spent over 15 years on staff at Mystic Seaport Museum, including 5 years as a Chanteyman. He has worked as a musician and educator for the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater program and has sailed as cook, deck hand and entertainer on numerous traditional sailing vessels from the coast of Maine to Chesapeake Bay.

“A man with a Big Voice” and varied instrumental skills, he is equally at home with guitar, mandolin, and tenor banjo while he sings. Marc has also been active in Connecticut’s fife & drum community since his teenage years, both as a teacher and performer. His notoriety as a fifer has brought him invitations to perform throughout North America and Europe. Marc’s song repertoire comes mostly from Ireland, the UK, and northeastern United States, developed through years of research in the field.
