Live from the Boathouse!: Wildfires 101 at Connecticut River Museum

The Connecticut River Museum will host Wildfires 101 on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 6 pm to 7 pm, as part of the Live from the Boathouse! series. Fire Control Officer James Bryan from the DEEP Forest Protection Program will provide an introduction to wildfires, discussing the risks posed by climate change and extreme weather. Guests will learn about forest fire danger, prevention, and control, as well as steps they can take to protect their homes and properties.
The DEEP Forestry Division works to conserve and manage Connecticut’s forests, promoting their health and sustainability. This session will provide valuable insight into the ongoing efforts to protect the state’s natural resources.
