LGBTQ+ Book Club: Nobody Knows My Name at Rainy Day Paperback Exchange

The LGBTQ+ Book Club will discuss James Baldwin’s Nobody Knows My Name on Saturday, October 17, from 2 to 3 pm at Rainy Day Paperback Exchange in Bethel. The collection reflects on Baldwin’s return to the United States after a decade of self-exile in Europe, his experiences in Harlem, and his first trip to the South during the school integration struggles.

The book explores race relations, the experiences of Black Americans in the United States and Europe, and questions of sexual identity. It also features intimate and often controversial profiles of figures including Norman Mailer, Richard Wright, and Ingmar Bergman.
