LCT Youth Summer Camp at Thomaston Opera House

LCT Youth Summer Camp kicks off on Monday, July 21 and runs through Friday, July 25, 2025, offering students a week-long, immersive introduction to the world of musical theater. Held at the LCT Production Center at 9 Center Street in Thomaston, Connecticut, this camp is designed for children entering grades 3 through 8.

Each day, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, campers will explore core elements of musical theater including singing, dancing, acting, prop construction, and costume design. This program is ideal for beginners—no prior experience is necessary—but participants should be able to read and follow basic instructions. Campers are required to bring their own lunch daily.

The program will culminate in a short performance for family and friends, held on Friday, July 25 at 1 pm in the Opera House. Directed by Cheyenne Walent, the camp provides an engaging opportunity for young performers to build skills and confidence on and off the stage.
